Burning Man Ticket warnings

3- DON’T BUY A FAKE
If you are buying a ticket and want to check to make sure it is legit – send an email with the full 8 digit/numerical ticket number AND full name and email address of the person selling it and if they are not the original purchaser, the original purchaser’s name and email also. Beware if someone will not or cannot give you the original purchaser’s information. Likewise, beware if someone wants you to send a blank money order to a PO Box. If a seller is sketchy about their info, chances are there is something wrong. ALWAYS have third party purchased tickets sent Fed-Ex with insurance. If you opt for regular mail you leave yourself open for the mysteriously empty envelope and a scammer claiming “Oh I mailed it, I don’t know what could have happened.” (Thanks Alicia, because of your scam we know what else to tell people to beware of.)

*snort* if the gate staff only knew how much hatred i have for this particular person– uh, i mean, scammers like this. ;)

what now?

so, Dead Like Me is being made in to a movie, which centers around a new boss leading the Reapers. No Rube, no Daisy. And then I read this:

STATEMENTS FROM ABC STUDIOS AND CBS PARAMOUNT NETWORK TELEVISION, AND MANDY PATINKIN:

On behalf of ABC Studios and CBS Paramount Network Television:

Last week Mandy Patinkin asked to be released from his role on “Criminal Minds.” We have honored this request, which was not in any way connected to contract renegotiations or salary issues. His departure from the series will be explained to audiences in an episode to be filmed in the near future and broadcast early next season. We thank Mandy for helping to make “Criminal Minds” a strong and successful series, and we wish him the best in his future endeavors. A new character will be added to the series for next season.

On behalf of Mandy Patinkin:

Due to creative differences, Mandy has asked not to return to “Criminal Minds” this season. Mandy would like to thank the studios and network for releasing him from the series and wishes the cast and crew continued success in all of their endeavors, and he looks forward to continuing to work with the Disney and CBS companies in other capacities in the future.

What the hell?! Now Dead Like Me is going to suck a bit *and* Criminal Minds is no longer worth watching! I don’t plan to watch CM when it comes back next season and I suggest that no one else does either. That would be like watching CSI: Las Vegas with no Grissom, which happened for a few episodes and they SUCKED!

C’mon CBS! What the hell did you do to lose one of the best actors your shitty network has ever scored?!

We can only hope that Mandy decides to return to DLM when they go back to a series format (which is proposed).
